are any ford v8 are non-interference
An interference engine is were the valve hangs low into the chamber and if the piston were too come up too TDC it would hit the valve, and we all know what happens next.
My brother had an eclipse and he watched the timing belt closely every oil change cause if it broke then by by engine.
As far as I know ford has no interference v8s.

Ouch!
This is a 90 eclips GST very quick and fast. He still has it, but it sits cause it has over 200,000 miles on it and worn too crap.
Well, I guess cheetha's answer would be yes all of them are non-interference engines.

Thanks for the info.
As far as I know, all of the Bronco related V-8's are interferance engines. The only way they'd jump time is with a really slack/worn timing chain. You can check for chain wear by removing the distributor cap and using a ratchet to move the crank pulley back and forth. Anything more than a few degrees of slack from the time you push on the crank to the ignition rotor turning indicates a worn chain. It would take pretty well worn chain to jump time, but considering a used vehicle that has been driven by the general public I don't take anything for granted!
