Thumbs up A Good Locker?

I have an 02 F250 with a limited slip 10.5" stuffed with 4.10s. My question; is the Detroit Soft Locker a good locker for this setup, or does someone know of a better one? With the exception of an ARB or an e-locker.

Would it be a straight swap out, or would there be other 'hidden' purchases to be made.

nothing better than a detroit!

mine has worked flawless and i have no complaints.

hidden costs? hummmm, i doubt it. when mine was installed, it cost no extra in parts or labor from the gear swap (well, the cost of the locker was extra).

It shouldn't be that bad should it? I have run through a '73 F250 a few times including an engine rebuild. (The diffs haven't changed that much have they?) The only thing that hasn't had any work done to it would be the NP205 but that's a different story.

Any insight and tips would be appreciated though.
