CD changer

I am having a problem with my CD changer. It will be working fine and I will go over a small bimp or pot hole and iy will stop and flash NO -CD . I have to reload the cart. and retry the CD. Any help out there? Thanks Chassy

Is it the stock CD changer or aftermarket? How old is it? It shouldn't be jamming up from small bumps. There is probably something wrong with it internally or maybe the with the cartridge.

Sorry for not enough info. I have a 97 mountaineer with a stock 6-CD changer in the arm rest
