Bronco is draining charge
1986 Bronco XLT 4x4 302 mileage = 150,000
My 302 engine is purring but when it is dark, I turned headlights on for a few miles, it dies. I came back the next morning to try again. Bronco started and drove me home without the headlights on. It died again only when I am driving at night with headlights on. I know for sure that there is short somewhere but I am not an electrican. Do I need to get the ground to the engine block cleaned? I have heard that the wiper switch might caused this?? I better let the expert gives me a list of suggestions first before I

I'm not exactly sure, but i have had a bad light switch(where you turn your lights on) and a bad dimmer switch(i think yours is on the floor) cause a short. They are very inexpensive, you could start there. I think $15 for both at Autozone.
