nubie help please on e40d tran

greeting. first i must say great forum. this is my first time, i have a 1993 E 250 cargo van 4.9 6 cilinder from what the mec said it has a e 40d tranny, from the past two weeks it is acting up now it gotten worse , when i start in the morning it runs fine, antil i do a couple of miles and come to a stop sighn when i give it gas to move it bind up like the brakes is holding it. then it just catch and away she goes . no problems when it is on the high speed, only when i come to a full stop and want to move. i just change the fluid and filter.

sometimes when i put it in reverse it just kill the engine and dies i have to restart about three times before it hold reverse. and when it does it has no power.

any info please, i just came back from driving it at first it was good drive and reverse both work great if i move off nice and easy and keep it at about 35 miles , but if i start rev it say from one block to the next it just start bindind up and i have to press the gas a few times before it move.

please someone help please any info tomorrow is christmas day and that is my christmas project trying to get it running befor monday morning.
