E40D reverse problem

E40D reverse problem
I just up a '92 F150 extended cab, with a 5.0L and an E40D trany. I am told the truck moves forward no problems, hitting all the gears. However, reverse only works when the truck is cold. Anyone have ideas on this. The fluid is clean, no burnt smell, so I am hoping this is a small problem.

not sure what that would be.why not try asking a tranny shop?

taking it in next week to see, just wondered if anyone had experienced this before.
