ok so yea i have a 91 f150, 4.9l 300ci... well today go to start, it does then turns off... try again cranks but no fuel or spark.. disconnected battery and reconnected.. no relays clicked.. fuel pump didnt turn on either... just wondering if n e one else has had this problem or knows what it could be... checked all fuses.. and relays... only thing i could find was a wire from the could harness but i dont think it went to n e thing cause the end was taped n e ways....
if n e one also knows where i can find a complete wiring diagram/schematic it would help me out greatly...
and some guy at the auot shop by my house said the abs system my be in series w/ the computer and that would cause it to not do n e thing n e one know if this is true??
i checked pretty much everything i can get to... but then i recharged the batt cause i killed it cranking after trying things. let it sit for like 3 hours went out fired right up.... then died when i tapped the gas then i started it again and it died after idling for about 30 seconds
ok i just wiggled the ground wire on the batt.. the fuel pump kicked on and i was like yesss!!!!!! then i started it...it did, but died after about 10 seconds... now nothing again no spark or fuel... only thing is now when i disconnect and reconnect the batt the check engine light turns on and stays on, w/ no key in ignition and nothign on.. just yea its on... no clue why...hate fords electrical designs.. n e ideas would be greatly appreciated..

a local mech, said there may be a short somewhere, or a bad ground which would make some sense, cause then ignition and the fuel pumps wouldnt get power and could cause the check engine light to turn on when with nothing on just the battery connect.. so i traced trough the rat nest of wires and found nothing wrong.. so that isnt it.... this thing is driving me crazy... if the body of the truck didnt look as good as it does id push it off a cliff....
