I have an 2001 F-150 6 cylinder automatic, I was driving home today and the engine started missing really bad, to the point where the truck was shaking. It is not as bad when giving it the gas but you can still feel it. Sitting at idle it is VERY noticeable. The “have engine serviced soon” light comes on intermittently and flashes. I am going to get it to the dealer as soon as possible but I wanted to know if any of you have had or heard of this problem.
Thanks
Dutch
It could be a number of things.
I would first run by your local autozone and get it scanned for free.
It could be a plug, wire, or even a bad coilpack.
Get it scanned and let us know what you find out.
