mjb1962 qick question for u

hey im the one that asked u about the steering stops for the 89 f150 i was just wondering how u go about adding shims or watever you do to add to it.

Don't you just have to clean out the hole (maybe re-tap it to make sure the threads are good) and put a bolt in it.

The steering stops appear to be bolts threaded into the steering knuckles. They are located at lower rear inside face of the knuckle. They have a 9/16" hex head.
I just looked at mine, I used 3/8" ID washers built up about 1/4" thick and still had decent thread engagement. This eliminated the tires from rubbing on the radius arms.

hey me again

one more question did u hafto take the wheel assembly off or can u just do it while the truck is all togeather and on the ground

You can get to them from under the truck with the wheels on. Use a ratchet with a 9/16" socket, I'm pretty sure it's 9/16".

35x12.5R15's on 15x10" rims with 3.75" backspacing.
