How do I get to the driver's side headlight? The passenger side is wide open. On the driver's side, the resevoir is right in the way. Unbelieveable. Thanks for any info.
The location of the reservoir won't matter, as the light assembly is designed to be slid forward to access the bulb socket.
Behind the headlight assembly, locate two black steel strips with "L" shaped ends on top. Pull these strips up about 1" while tipping them slightly back to defeat a built-in lock on the strip. This releases the grip the strips have on four steel pins built into the back of the headlight assembly. Once unlocked, the light assembly can be slid forward and out to access the bulb socket.
If you look in my gallery, I have pics on how to remove them. I found out the hard way, removed my airbox and resivoir to get to it. Look for parklamps in my gallery.
ya, i did that same thing the first time. I took a whole bunch of stuff apart and struggled to get the new light bulb in and later realized that I just went to all that work for nothing.
