Alternator interchange????

Alternator interchange????
Hello All, New to this site...Looks very interesting!!! My question is does any one out there know if an Alternator off of a '00 + 5.4L or V-10 F-250 or 350 will interchange with a '98 4.6L F 150??? Local parts stores do not show info. I need...Thanks for your help...

Trials1Rick if i remember correctly they may interchange now the only differance in the mod motor alternators is the the mounting
ears on the front bottom of the case they are either open or closed ears & they seem to be virtualy identical on the bodies the
pulley may have to be changed but that is minor.

parts interchange
this site is cool and very usefull!try the motorcraft.com website and there is a way to find parts that interchange.i probably have an alternator if you haven't picked one up yet.sell it alot cheaper than you can pick one up,it's a motorcraft and it's new!
