T_Moss this is an easy fix just run down to the dealership & buy
a new dpfe sensor that is the nature of your problem i will bet that will solve your problems! If by chance that does not do it you
will need to replace the dpfe solenoid. Keep us posted turbo ted

was 17.00$ you may want to see if this one can be used!

I ended up getting the sensor at autozone for $52 it was called the egr sensor/dpfe so the guys said at autozone. I put it in reset the pcm and so far no check engine light, 2 days and counting. I'll check into that other part number.
