2x4 in long deep mud is kinda like bring a knife to a gun fight! I've negotiated trails with them when I've had and done o.k. That said, I was avoiding "trouble". To quote Clint, "A man has got to know his limitations." In this case, those of his truck too.
Its o.k. to test those limitations.

Yea, I get that allot, especially during the comps where all they see is a stupid-big ol' Ford pulling away from them and coating their windshield with mud. It was pretty funny on the last class V trail I ran...it was a gnarly steep boulder strewn firebreak hillclimb and on the video you can hear the guys taking bets when I was going to flip it. I love surprising people. You can make big trucks work if they are engineered properly...problem is most people don't.
Oh, I know, its cool. This place would be boring if we didn't mess with each other. Yea, I'd be glad to have either you or Ho up. We've got a big annual mud bog coming up on New Years day and I'm talking to my buddy about riding shotgun with his helmet cam...I'd like to get some digital stuff so I could post it for everybodies merriment.

that would be cool although to completely satisfy me i want a digital tour of the entire truck
Thats a good idea. If he does ride shotgun and I'm right in that its a digital recorder he has I'll have him poke around under my suspension and in my engine compartment too. And believe it or not, my interior is in pretty good shape. Don't ask me how...
The widest tires are not always the best option. When busting through snow drifts here in Montana, the thinner tires always make it farther. Those trucks with wider tires always need to chain up first. The wider tires act like snow plows and don't push the snow out to the sides as well as thinner tires. As for tire height, more is most certainly better. Clearance can save a lot of headaches.
