I have a 1996 F 250 with a 5.8 and a ZF5. The exhaust pipe coming from the manifolds goes under the transmission cross member. Is this how they came from the factory? I don't recall seeing other trucks with it run under like that.
That is the correct routing, I had a 94 that was routed like that.
I have to say, from looking at my truck from the passenger side it doesn't look good seeing it hang down like that. I guess I'll learn to live with it. Thanks.
My guess is that the catalytic converters are MIA and cobbled up a Y pipe. It looks like there is just a dip but the pipe but I still think it goes over the rear cross member.
Mine goes over, just like the other 3 million Ford trucks did, chevy is only boneheads that did that, all the headers had to aim down, and you always seen that little step up, all the way into the 90's.
