its probally higher off the ground than a stock oil filter
On my stock height 16 F350, my Donaldson sits just shy of 13 inches from the ground...

Who else but a forum guy would crawl under his truck, even with a well used camping sleeping blanket pad I use often, and get his back wet to get that measurement?

Hey Fritz, what about an old exercise mat like the one I used to protect my wiring harness? Just use bigger cable ties. Shoot me a PM or text... let me know what size you want and pay for shipping... good to go.

Interesting...

Fass has made some filter jimmy hats as well....

https://fassmotorsports.com/products...BoCFgMQAvD_BwE

For the low low price of a few hundred bucks.

I guess one of the perks of the short bed, small tank set up is my filters are tucked up under the cross members of the bed right behind the x-case. I can just see the very bottom of the filter below the frame rails:

Seems to keep the filters out of harm's way. Haven't noticed any material signs of impact.

Great idea but my God... expensive.

I would just use the exercise mat I have, cut to size and use bigger cable ties to wrap the rascal filter or filters for way cheaper...

I have plans to install my Air Dog 4G pump when I install the Titan 50 gal tank but I will buy a Longhorn Fabrication universal aftermarket pump skidplate so I can mount the pump in the outside. Or at least this is my plan that I want to do as I want to retain the factory DFCM and feed it with 10 psi. Air Dog sent the different spring for the regulator to set it that low.

Anyways, I would fab up a piece of stock, have a piece of old stainless steel in my garage, that I would mount inside the skidplate in the front to prevent stone hits...

If I need further protection, thanks to Fritz's filter condom idea, I'll use that old exercise mat to protect the Air Dog filters.
