Fake FL2016 filter?

Does the filter in top photo look like a fake? I've never seen an OEM filter with those plastic ridges on top and bottom so just curious.

What I have been used to seeing is top and bottom "discs", not "caps".

It is fake, one of my customers got one of those. To me, the box alone was a dead giveaway but once we compared the filters my customer knew as well.

They went out of their way and stamped it all over to make it seem legit but no comparison to the original.

Looks like the filter shown in this Fram pdf Fuzzpuss posted recently.

It appears someone swapped the filters and put the Fram filter in the Motrorcraft box and then paid Fram price for a Motorcraft filter.
