My 2000 7.3 has 345k on it. All that was done is new injectors, (stock) and aftermarket turbo. Basically stock . All injectors are ad injectors. Been wanting to put the ae back in # 8. Or tune around it. Was told putting all ads in wouldn’t matter but seems like it runs different since then. Also have original hpop. Should I check that pressure. She runs good, but I think she should run better. Fuel mileage is lower than usual.
I wouldn't mess with it. Our 2000 Excursion has the different AE injector in #8 cylinder, while my 2000 F350 has the AD injector...like all the others...in #8 cylinder. This is how they came from the factory...still on stock sticks, although they've been shimmed. I can't really tell a difference in them and actually didn't even know it until I went in for glow plugs, shim injectors, new UVCH, etc. a couple years ago...and we've had these trucks for 25+ years. I think the CPS will make more of a difference in it...
