Flashing OD light

Alright so I’m a little stumped I’ve been chasing this problem for a wile now I have a 94 7.3 idi factory turbo e4od. When I start to drive the truck it will shift fine for a couple miles then go into limp mode. It’s got a fresh trans and torque converter in it and I’ve changed all the sensors associated with the transmission. When I pull the codes I get a 10 followed by a 11 and from what I’ve read that means everything is ok. The only other thing I have read about is these trucks not liking LED lights, it has a flat bed on it with some cheap Amazon trailer lights in it. Could this be my problem??? Also I have the factory 3rd brake light in and it works as should.

If the OD light is flashing, there is at least one code stored. Getting a 10 and then an 11 means you're missing the first set of codes. The 10 is a separator between the first and second set of codes.

LED lights can fool the PCM into thinking the brakes are applied when they are not. All this can do is prevent the torque converter clutch from locking. This will not set a code, and it will not put it in limp mode.

thanks for the reply sometimes the torque converter won’t lock then will randomly lock up and act fine with no flashing od light

Replace the LED's in the bed, or try adding some load resistors.

Here ya go.

Well, I guess he's installing them for turn signals, not brake lights like you need, but same deal. They're easy to install.
