Looking for suggestions

2024 F450. Looking for odds and ends to start customizing/modding.

-Black B&O speaker grilles

-Good places to source paint-matched bits

-Suggestions for weatherstripping and water-resistant sealing around the bed (especially tailgate)

-Suggestions for hard plastic or metal tool boxes that will fit under retractable tonneau cover

-Info on F450 brake sizes, and what would be the smallest diameter rim that could fit over them (I know 20" is quite common in the aftermarket, but I'm curious if smaller could fit)

-Hints/tips for having aftermarket high-pressure bedliner applied over (and/or removing) factory bedliner

The factory 19.5" wheels are the smallest that will fit over the factory brakes. 20" are the most common option for aftermarket as they are the smallest size that will fit with LT tires instead of commercial tires.

In the past the videos I've seen show the factory liners peeling out fairly easily if you want something else. Not even scuffed paint underneath. I wouldn't try to spray something else over it just for that reason.

Thx. I was expecting to have to remove it, but I wasn't sure. I also wasn't sure how difficult it would be for the local truck emporium to do it when they apply the bedliner.

Appreciate the info on 20". I figured as much. I was planning on LT tires all along, but that's a setup that is going to probably cost me the better part of 10k (wheels + tires)--so best to hold off and let the stock ones wear out first.

I got only 1 key with the truck. Maddening. So now I can't program securicode or anything. Guess I'm SOL until I pay the stealership to mint another key so I can access the master code.

Also, there's a badge with the VIN on top of the center console lid. It has a number on it (that isn't the VIN). Can someone explain it to me?

Got another question. Can someone explain to me the differences on the 2023+, Lariat+ front grilles? I see two designs, one with loops that run through the center, and the other with "S" curves around the lights and radiator openings next to the headlights.

Pulled these pics from a listing I saw. Is it just my eyes? These look black, and not brushed/anodized?

If you have Limited trim I think the number on the console plaque that isn't the vin is the build number for that particular truck in that trim. I don't know why Ford does it because I'm not aware that they actually put a hard cap on the number of Limited trim trucks they build for a particular model year.

Over 100k for a truck and you don't even get two keys? WTF?!

Yeah. Quebec special. Hard to find info for previous model years, but the tailgate features were gone for 2025, so that seemed like a good reason for 2024. Ordering new would have been preferable, but I certainly wasn't ready in 2023/2024.

Tested out the ambient lighting last night. It's better than nothing. Shocking that there's no way to change the color; in 2024 I would have expected better from a top-of-the-line, 100k truck. Also would have been nice to have some accent strips along/around the dash, headliner, etc. Dash display is also a bit wanting. I can use MPH, but there's no way to disable KPH entirely. I also didn't see any way to display nav on the dash display. (but I also was not using Waze on my AA at the time). I don't see any HUD adjustable settings? HUD apparently doesn't like my sunglasses, because it's barely visible at all. I really wish MFG's would make their HUD lens cover to rotate or something--so that HUD could be adjusted to work with polarized lenses. Even my C8's HUD wasn't this bad. I also couldn't verify if turn directions would show up there. Guess I'll try that later.

Remote Start doesn't appear to function. No idea why. Guess I'll address that when I get keys programmed.

Need more inputs. All help appreciated:

-Looking for DRW side marker lamps in clear. The (DRW fender) fronts are clear (amber lit) but the (DRW fender) rears are red (red lit). I'd like to find some that match the clear cover on the front ones, but illuminate red.

-Side bed storage boxes. The full length ones. IDK who makes them for Ford. Will the ones for an 8' bed have room for a retractable tonneau cover canister? If not, will the 6.75' bed ones fit on the 8' bed--and give sufficient room for this?

-Given that the bed rail is ~21"--and that a retractable tonneau canister is ~9-13", can anyone recommend me a truck box (plastic) that will fit under this height requirement?

More inputs?

DashMat vs. Dash Designs. Anyone have a preference or a reason to go with one over the other? Are there any others I should look at?

TPMS. If/when I switch over to 20" and passenger/touring tires--is there a way to enable TPMS monitoring from within the infotainment/gauge cluster systems?

Best $7 I ever spent. I did the install myself. Came from Ali Express. Not perfectly sized, but I was able to massage it to fit (driver's side was a PITA compared to passenger one). Not perfect. Several barely-visible air-bubbles. But until I get paint & proper PPF professionally installed--this is AWESOME. Looks so much better, imho. More cohesive with the hood protector. Tons of chrome left to delete though.

P.S.
Still looking on recommendations for most stuff above.

TPMS can be enabled with Forscan. There are some good threads here with the required part numbers for the sensors and Forscan changes to make.
