I will be getting around to installing my gauges in the lower F650 dash soon. I can't find the Color Bond COL118 and/or CBO1180000, which I understand is a good match. I also can't find the SEM 87043, but think it may be replaced by SEM 17043. Has anyone used the SEM product or something similar that matched decently given this is for the lower dash which shouldn't be as noticeable?
The shipping isn't free, but I entered my address (Washington state) and the shipping was $3.98
Much appreciated, looks like $3.98 to here in Houston, Texas too. I am going to call SEM tomorrow morning unless someone can chime in about the part number situation...
I used Color Bond 100207 Med Flint when I did mine many many moons ago. I bought it from Riffraff and i think they still sell it. Looks like riffraff has Color Bond COL118 graphite & COL331 flint
I'm wondering if the Med flint is right or if I used it for an old pillar mount. I would have to find an old F650 mod thread to verify color possibly. This paint is too old to verify it's color
Actually, maybe It is right. It's not producing proper color anymore and I don't believe it's the lighter grey of the dash/ pillars. paint is probably from 2008-2010 era, painted on white cardboard for test purposes. CB obviously changed the part number at some point as this can says 100207 Med Flint and current is COL331
I called SEM yesterday and spoke with technical. The 17043 Meduim Graphite is their older product. It will not adhere to the plastic dash well. Their newer 87043 Medium Graphite is the replacement which will adhere to the plastic dash. So I'll be calling some suppliers here in H-town to see what's available in either the SEM or Colorbond products.
