Fuel leak

Filled up rear fuel tank today and when I got home fuel was leaking. It is running down the hose coming out of the top of the rear tank. Cant see exactly where it starts but tying to at least stop it for the night. Not sure if after it drains some it will stop but dont quite get how a hose on the top of the tank will keep draining. Ideas? Thanks

I'd siphon out some gas until it stops leaking.

I'm guessing your filler neck adapter hose is leaking.

This is where it is leaking from. Running down the black fuel line and dripping off the clamp. Not sure if this black line is cracked or leaking from further up behind the frame support.

Yes siphon some out, how much.... enough to get it to stop. That looks like the rubber line that is attached to the sending unit and it goes from the hard line (right off the of the sending unit) to rubber then back to hard for the run up the frame rail.

Should have a spring or hose clamp on each end. They dry rot over time. Replace it with EFI rated fuel line, NOT the cheapest they have on hand.

Ever see this self priming hand jiggler siphon hose? No more mouth full of gas...

BOTH duel gas tanks set up. But you can see the sending unit and the valve. With a single tank truck NO valve, just rubber from the sending unit tip and to the hard line start point.

Thanks for the photos and explanation. Can this be accessed? Or drop the tank or pull the bed? Suggestions for ease and best outcome? Thanks very much.

Looks like you can just replace that section of rubber hose. Like was already mentioned, get some high quality fuel line, not some cheap crap. Buy some high quality hose clamps s well.

I have an aft and rear tank set up on my 73. F250 camper Spl. 360. 2wd. It does have the turn of switch valve by the drivers left leg by the seat on the floor. When I replaced the rear tank there was no 'valve' like the one on the picture above. It just has straight lines up to the floor switch valve by the drivers seat. Am I supposed to have a valve at the rear tank as well??
