steering wheel distance

From the dash just above the stainless ring on gauge cluster mine is 10 1/4 to the same line/edge on the wheel as you show. A touch less from the the stainless ring on the cluster. Not near the 11" you show. Two things, my truck was completely redone in 2002, body off the whole trick. Last year I had the steering column out and steering box etc rebuilt . All bolted back in place in original places so I assume its Stock. Its my 3rd original truck and I fit the same(LOL).1955 F100. Depending on your year I wonder could there have been different length columns in the model years. Geometry, suspension location etc different? Hope this helps, what is your project? Mike

Thanks, that means I am well with tolerance. Vision is to look very stock. So far, Aspen front clip that changed the steering angle. Now I went to the column shifter instead of the after market floor one, this changed the angle even more. Ended up with a double u joint. Blinkers back under the steering wheel, new floor pan, etc. 302 engine, 4 barrel, electronic ignition, CCP dual master cylinder, LED lights,…..

thanks again for the measurements,

Will

You can see I had to cut the column part of the floor to move the steering column up for the three speed. I also went with a double u joint to connect to the 1977 Dodge Aspen steering box. It looks funky but no binding and steers very smooth. Looks stock, but power steering, disk breaks, better suspension. And think I am really going to enjoy the three speed on the column.
