When I call someone, the hang up button on the dash and the steering wheel does not seem to hang up the call most times. I have to hang up on my phone.

What is wrong, and can I fix it myself? The truck is out of warrantee.

My dash button works but the steering wheel button hasn't ever worked.

 

Neither my dash or steering wheel buttons have ever worked consistently.

 

I have a possible solution. I have found that I have to hold the hang up button on the steering wheel for approx 3 seconds or more, until you hear a beep and then the phone hangs up. I have also noticed that the time period you have to hold the button down is different with different phones (Apple, Android, etc.)

I'll try that, I haven't ever tried holding it down. I just give it a normal momentary push and nothing happens.
