There is also a APIM update going around as well. The trailer update should be a TBM update. I’ve heard of a few people claiming they’ve gotten the TBM update for the trailer brake module recall but have yet to see a screenshot of it either from the app or the infotainment screen.
I believe an OTA update is coming, but if you tow, and can’t wait, the dealer will update.
I had both recalls done at my dealer a week ago. Only thing I noticed right away was had to reset “my view” gauge selection. Windows are fine.
Just noticed the recall notice in my ford pass. Interesting timing as my XLT infotainment system is crashing and won't boot up most of the time. Will see if I can get the truck in a few weeks. Otherwise it waits until I get back to Canada in May.
I’m driving my ‘26 F450 KR out of state sans trailer. A couple days ago the screen popped up indicating the OTA had taken place. So far, not seeing any issues. A bit antsy wanting to hook up to my 5th wheel.
Side gripe - my wife has a 2023 LR Defender. It warns you about a pending OTA update. I prefer not to be surprised, Ford.

I agree with all of the above responses. I had this recall done last week. The dealership had a tech drive out to my house to do it. It was not OTA. I, also, had to reset "my view" gauge selection. (Some people have reported having bounce back when using window auto-close. I did not have that problem.
when i got it back the drivers door window didn't one touch up and it would power down to half way point when it hit the top so i turned around and they had to do some more stuff to correct whatever door module stuff they didn't finalize properly, all tickity boo now though...
This is actually a pretty simple fix, mine has done it once or twice and I've had it happen on pretty much every other vehicle we have.
Simply roll the window down all the way by holding the switch down. When it reaches the bottom DO NOT LET GO, instead count 3 seconds. Immediately roll the window all the way back up while holding the switch up. When it reaches the top, DO NOT LET GO, count out three seconds, then let go. This should reset the 'soft limits' and the window should work as intended.
Why these power windows lose the soft limits so easily, I honestly have no idea. It happened once in the 6 years I owned my first RAM. It happened like every 3 months on my 2nd one. It's done it once or twice on this truck and once on our Bronco. My wife's Expedition, to my knowledge, hasn't done it, but she doesn't use the windows that often.
As I type, my 24 F350 is in the shop to diagnose and fix some issues. They said there was a recall for the pickup and would do the update alo g with the other things. Hopefully the update won't mess anything up.
They did 2 recalls. I have no idea what the driver/pass door module update was about. It wasn’t in my app as a recall. The kid couldn’t tell me but would find out, but I passed on the wait.
i drove about 10 miles interstate and 5 city miles playing with everything. Nothing changed from either update.
What threw me was when I got in the truck there was a bottle of cetane booster in my cup holder. I went back in and asked. Since I was below a quarter tank, they didn’t add any. I never used it on my 2018 F450 KR of which the same dealer did all the oil changes. I’ve never had a dealer hand me an additive.

I received notice this morning that my update would happen within 24 hours, so I adjusted my update schedule to basically happen immediately and the update happened. I will report back if I see any adverse or unexpected affects.
Looks like the OTA update is becoming available, just got this:
Where did you get this message? Was it on the ford app? I have updates turned on in the app. is there somwhere on the truck where it needs to be turned on? I am new to this and this is a 26 f35o platinum. Thank You
