Ford has announced updates for the 2027 Super Duty lineup that aim to meet the desires of its customers.
The base XL trim can now be paired with the Tremor package or a new version of the Off-Road package that includes 35-inch tires.
Chassis cab versions of the F-350, F-450, and F-550 can also now be had in the luxurious Platinum trim.
Buyers can now spec the Tremor package on the XL trim with the STX Appearance package, which adds 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, a lifted suspension, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, Trail Control, and a Rock Crawl mode. The Tremor package can also now be paired with crew-cab models with the longer eight-foot cargo bed, something Ford says customers have been asking for.
The XL variant also gained a model-specific Off-Road package in 2023 that eschews the Tremor's decals and adds 33-inch tires, an electronic locking rear diff, and skid plates for just $995. But customers—specifically arborists, forestry workers, mining engineers, and utility crews, according to Ford—said they required even more ground clearance, so Ford is now launching the XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire package, which, you guessed it, adds chunkier rubber. It also brings a taller ride height, a limited-slip front diff, an electronic locking rear diff, upgraded dampers, Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, Rock Crawl mode, and skid plates for the transfer case and fuel tank. The previous Off-Road package now gets renamed to indicate its inclusion of 33-inch tires.
now the question is if regular cab can be ordered with it too..

About time there is a long bed Tremor option. I skipped the Tremor because I had to have a long bed.
Yeah same here. Made no sense to restrict an "off road" package to only the CCSB but not offering it on the shorter WB trucks. At one point people speculated it was due to the longer drive shaft not able to handle the 4.30 gearing and 35s, but then not making it on shorter configurations was purely a business decision and not based on parts limitation.
A CCLB tremor would make a terrific off the grid roamer with the 48 gallon tank.

I have (6) XL's with the 6.7s with the off- road packages already, 70 grand piece. Can't imagine how much the STX package and tremor will be for XL. This one just got delivered.
Very curious what the new package will be with the 35s

I really like the idea of a base model XL with off road package and I probably would have bought one if Ford wasn't so difficult and forced 17" wheels which is less gvw than if 18" wheels were optioned.

The STX package uses 18 inch wheels as does the Tremor so 2027 model changes may avoid that pitfall.
This is going to be easily a $70k truck build with the gas engine which is insane for an XL. My STX on order sticker is $64k and I didn't even check all of the boxes.

It was released as direct competition to the Ram Power Wagon, which is only available as a CCSB with a gas motor. Having the diesel option was a selling point for a lot of people.
Frankly I don't know that I'd want anything bigger than a CCSB if I were trying to do any kind of off-road adventure. It's already a beast to turn, a long box will only compound that problem.

Turning radius and high centering. It’s lame that they only offer the Tremor, Power Wagon and ZR2 in crew cabs.

In other news, the chassis cabs will be available in platinum trim! This is perfect timing, as I'll likely be ordering an F550 C&C this fall, and will be glad to keep the platinum trim.
Great news!
Now do you suppose we could get a superduty lobo variant?
I do not want 22" rims but it would be nice to have a tailgate below waist height for those of us not off roading.

a 2wd F250 is not TOO bad bed height wise. Spec the 6.8 in regular cab and 4.30 gearing it should be plenty of get up and go for burnouts.
