Pcm location 1996 f150

I.have a 1996 f150 5.0 obd 2 that has codes for p2 sensors hester circuit, the grounds are not being supplied by pcm.. I can't find pcm , it has a wiring plug on the drivers side which looks like the pcm connector on the fire wall but inside cab there is just a wiring harness that is plugged in and it travels along e brake bracket and disappears up into dash. Does anyone know where pcm is located?

The PCM sits in a pocket in the drivers side inner fender but it is accessed from the engine bay, the engine wiring harness connects directly to it.

Pcm

Dropping the inner fender apron makes it easier to remove the pcm.

Thank you for your reply, I am familiar with these trucks having the pcm installed in a pocket in the firewall drivers side below the brake booster close to the fender. This truck has the connector there. With 10 mm bolt in the center but that connector is not plugged into a pcm it is plugged into a wiring harness that continues on traveling along side the e brake pedal and up into dash somewhere.there is a aluminum support bracket the e brake pedal is attached to that would obstruct the mounting of pcm that would normally protrude through firewall into cab. If that make sense, hope I described well enough.

Where it's been described is where the PCM is located. Pictures of yours might help us see what you're seeing.

I can send pic tomorrow but assure you that this pcm is not where it normally should be , everything that is there appears to be factory items, not modified at all. I've been mechanic for 45 years and have repaired plenty of these trucks and from the engine compartment side it looks normal as the wiring connector to pcm looks like it should . But if you look from the inside of cab the pcm is not there, it has a matching connector that is plugged into that same connector and the 60 or so wires go up into dash somewhere, again this is factory not modified in anyway, I was just trying to find out if anyone has seen this before to make it easier to access pcm, I've have tried looking up into dash as best I can and don't see pcm but at this point it looks like I'm going to have to remove dash to find this pcm. I know it seems like I must be over looking it but I assure you it is not where it normally is installed. I was just hoping else has come across this before

I've only seen a dozen or so of these as I've scrounged parts for mine, so I can't say I know them all. Still, all the ones I've seen had two large connectors in that area. The PCM is vertical and the one closest to the fender. The one right under the brake booster is a pass-through connector. Maybe a picture can help someone else recall a different arrangement.

I've got a 96 5.0 OBD2 (w/E4OD) Bronco, and its PCM is in the standard location.

What's the calibration code (sticker on the driver's door pillar)? I've got a 96 Emissions Fact Book and can tell you from that at least which PCM was stock.

My Alzheimer's has me doubting any sort of weird conclusion that I make these days, so if it were me and if not done already, it might be worth removing the 104-pin PCM engine-side connector and those two bolts that hold the rubber gasket around the PCM's socket, and make sure that there's really not a PCM there.
