Australian F700 Decode
I have a an old fella I am helping with an F700 He has, the Vin Plate has been painted over and somone has tried to sand it off, so it relly hard to read and the sites information I have found so far conflicts alot.
The VIN/Warranty Number is as follows :Any help decoding this would be really appreciated.
AK1KEA which I have woked out to be
A = American built
K = Assembled in Sydney
1K= Body Series of F700
E= 300CID Engine
A = unknown
The Bult plate has
Engine = D
Transmission = F
RRAX = F ( or E, very hard to read)
FTAX = K
PAINT = S (or 5, hard to read)
TRIM = X
A 300 CID would be an in line six in the US, not available until model year 1965.
Transmission code "F" would be a Warner T98A four speed transmission with 2-3-4 synchronized.
Neither "S" or "5" appear as paint codes for '64.
Not much help it seems.....

Thank you for looking, the mystery continues.

If your truck is truly a '64, you might need the MPC one older than this; I didn't see one available via eBay, but one must exist somewhere.
