Has anyone installed Diode Dynamic's C2 2.0 w/ Backlight as your fog lights? If so, how'd you wire up the Backlight portion?
For those unfamiliar with Diode Dynamic's C2 2.0 pods, the pods have a Main Beam (white) and a built-in Backlight that can be amber (for front facing applications) or red (for rear facing applications). They operate independently, but the Main Beam always automatically takes priority over the Backlight. Where I live, there's really no need for me to run with my fog lights on all of the time, so my desire/goal is to have the Backlights come on automatically with the truck's parking lights (in other words, when the headlights and/or parking lights are on) and act as basically an additional set of amber parking/running lights at night. And then when I manually turn on the fog lights or when the turn light mode for the fog lights activate, the Main Beams will override the Backlights. Could it be as easy as tapping into the front parking lamp wire(s) for the Backlights portion?

I was looking at these when they offered the five light row that installed in the air dam. You’d wire the backlight to an upfitter switch and essentially just leave it on all the time if I remember correctly.
Yep, I hear ya. That's my plan B. Ideally...I only want them to come on at night when the auto headlights come on or when I manually turn on the headlights/parking lights. That's why I'm trying to figure out if it will work with just tying them into the parking lights. And if so, what's the best way to do so?
I tapped into the parking lamp and used a relay. Since the current draw is low you should be able to power the backlight directly from the parking lamp if your parking lamps are old school incandescent. If they are an LED assembly they will be powered by PWM and this may be a problem for the Diode Dynamics.
I'm using a yellow fog as DRL for normal driving and fog when needed. This requires a switch and relay so the DRL turn off with headlights, and turn on with headlights when in fog mode.
