Heads Up Display

2026 F250 Platinum
One of our phones does not display turn by turn on the HUD display. One phone works perfectly. We switch off depending on the driver. What could account for this? How to troubleshoot. We have both iphones connected via bluetooth. I have tried fully disconnecting one including turning off it's BT.

Go into Settings/Phones and select the Android Auto/Carplay on the phone that you want to display through the truck. We switch back and forth all the time but must do that every time.

FWIW Carplay is communicating through wifi not bluetooth, whenever my wife and I have problems with our phones operating differently it is due to a phone setting.

Check if both iPhones are running the same version of software. At this time it should probably be IOS26.3. Also check that precise location is turned on in the nav app you are using.

I have noticed that often the day after the Iphone or the truck has an update we have trouble with the phone/audio system operating smoothly. It usually works properly on the next startup, I have written this off to the 2 systems needing a second start to get used to the different software version, It usually worked properly after that.

pfft, my iphone rarely connects to either MFT or Sync. No matter what I try, it will not auto connect, but will eventually connect after a couple manual tries.
