Was watching a video of the HUD. I noticed in the video that the next turn from the navigation was displayed in the HUD next to the time.
This video is from a 23. In my 24, I cannot get the nav setting to show up. I've tried every setting possible. Does anyone know what setting or has this been removed from the 24's? So far, I am really enjoying the HUD.

Two pics from my 23, one towing one not. You can see directions in both.
I never changed anything, but you might want to make sure “Driver Assistance” is selected in the HUD settings. If it doesn’t come on with that selected, it’s probably a software glitch. I guess miles to empty is supposed to show up too if it’s selected and I’ve never seen it.
I'm usually using CarPlay and I've used the built-in nav once. Neither showed directions in the HUD for me. I didn't realize this was an option. I'd love to get the HUD to display it as well.
On a 23 I found that with CarPlY google maps and Waze never show the directional info on the heads up. With Apple Maps, it more reliably but not a,ways shows up via WiFi connection - hardwired it is hit or miss. Shame because hard wired provides a much better sound if running a music app thru CarPlay.
Regardless, Apple Maps does not show speed limit on the monitor screen unless you have plugged in a destination while google maps does. The heads up reads speed limit signs and does show on heads up regardless of the app- provided there is a sign to see.
I tried Google. No luck. I'll try Apple next time.
iIRC on my last trip the built in Nav showed on the HUD but Google did not. I meant to check the online manual when I got back but didn't until just now. The manual has almost zero information on the HUD. When I get a chance I will test all three in my truck and look in the HUD settings. I'm using Apple Carplay so It may be that it only shows up with Apple maps and built in Nav. If that is the case it would be interesting to have someone compare the different mapping apps when using Android Auto. I would not be surprised if Apple and Google step on each other.

Using Android Auto - I only use Waze and the directions (as well as speed limit signs) show up in my HUD, regardless of Bluetooth or via USB.
Have you tried and compared it with Google, Apple, and built in NAV? I
I am sure it takes info from the built-in nav, so that shouldn't be any different.
Not sure if they cared enough about third-party apps to let it pull from them. It would be nice, but it is also asking for problems, since they can't test for how each phone and OS cooperates with their system, especially with the inevitable and constant updates. Well, I am sure they could, but it would take money, and people wouldn't be willing to spend enough.

Tonight's test with iPhone connected via CarPlay. Directions for Apple Maps showed up in HUD but directions for Google Maps did not.
I don't have an Android phone so maybe someone else can test.
