48 ford truck auction

Here's a link to an auction about an hour south of st louis. a 48 ford truck, model t, and car. Also a nice clockface gas pump. I'd be interested and its close enough, but I'm a little long on inventory of all the above!

You're overstocked on clock face gas pumps? Cool. The 51 Victoria could be a fun find, but I don't think there's enough left of the F2/3 to get overly excited about. It looks pretty much picked apart, and what's left isn't all that good.

I've got one clockface, and one visible for my own collection. And one electric i'm keeping. And 2 restored I'm trying to sell. And 2 more to restore. Thy're just not bring much right now so really don't want to add more. Thinking about putting one on bring a trailer but they'll only take it with no reserve .

If I was nearby I'd throw a bid on the old truck. I saw a couple of hundred dollars work of part on it. Wish they had more pictures of it. I wonder if it has an engine, what engine and transmission. It looks like a $5K Facebook truck.

That's what I was seeing/saying. Unless you lived within a short driving distance, had time to kill, and could get it for less than $100, the expense and trouble of digging it out of the brush and brambles and parting it out for the few trinkets left wouldn't be worth it. What you see in that pic is about all that's left, and makes it look better than it likely is.

I just like going to auctions to check out the actions. I've been to some auctions where the bidding has stupid crazy for junk and other auctions where stuff is just walking out the door for way under value. Never know what will happen until the bidding starts. I would go to an auction like this if it was close by and I knew I wouldn't bid on anything. I just like seeing what stuff goes for.

Yes, auctions are entertaining for sure. Always an adventure. 7 years ago I went to a 65 car mopar auction and ended finding and buying a 67 GTO I happen to have the correct engine it needed. It was parked with a 4 sale sign on it. It was a good day! Cheers
