E4OD ONLY manual shifts
Have fun tuning band application. That will **** off a preacher. That is why units that only shift via clutch packs are easier to tune.
Low stall converters also make the unit shift firmer.
FWIW, I always start at the mildest settings for any valve body kit. You can always make it shift firmer, going in reverse is way more of a pain
Yes, I know that once you start installing more clutches, more aggressive clutches, kolene plates, etc, it's going to take some time to dial things in. It did.
I did play with the converter orifice too and eventually dialed that in too.
When I was looking into this, I did not see anyone mentioning that leaving the stock pressure regulating spring alone. I am just sharing if there are any other fools out there that is going to add everything to make a firm shift [including the accumulator springs] you might just pause on that spring. Or at least save it in a special place because you can't find a new stock spring anywhere. Having a Tweecer allows me to dial in the pressures/shift timing which is just icing on the cake.
The next time this transmission is coming out, is when the 408 is installed.
