E4od/4r100

I have a e4od. And my buddy told me the valve body might be bad causing violently hard shifting in all gears. Unless I'm towing.... Then it shifts fine. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows if the 4r100 shift solenoid pack/valve body is interchangeable with the e4od. He has a good 4r100 valve body and if it works it's going in later today

It's not the same, the E4OD uses a on/off solenoid for TC lockup, the 4R100 is PWM.

check your VSS first before tearing into the tranny. change it and see if it shifts better. check the fluid level in the diff also. if its too low it will cause the sensor to not read as well.
