Engine Swap
I'm looking to swap out an engine in my 2003 Ford F-150, 4.6 litre engine, 4x4. I found a 4.6 litre engine out of a 2004 Aviator. It is a HO 4.6 litre, 32 valve. How much trouble would it be to swap? Would I need to switch the exhaust, PCM, ecm, transmission, and flex plate? I'm fairly new at this stuff, but I know my way around an engine. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, you’d need to swap all that stuff. It’s not an F150 platform vehicle, so some wiring work will be involved. I’m sure the computer controls both that engine and the 5-speed automatic transmission, so it’s an all or nothing deal on that front.
