I have a 2026 STX on order and want to get some things figured out before it comes in. Planning on brining over 2 Sound Ordnance powered subs I installed in my 150 over to the new truck.
I don't want to tap into the speaker wire in the main harness. I know some of the f150's had a plug in the back so you could add a BO sub later on that could be used.
Is there anything like this in the superdutys? Or is there some type of adapter to get a speaker signal to the subs?
I'm looking to do this in spring also. So far for 23 and up, I have not been able to find a more basic harness like this,
with pre-outs for a subwoofer.
Many times yes, but searched them already for 23 SD, did not have a "head" unit direct inline
connection harness with line level sub out (or line level out at all).
Only thing they have is speaker pigtails that go in doors. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120725...s.html?tp=3097
Think I'm going to use this, especially since it has remote level control. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scosche-L...-****/31954500
I'm a little worried about bass roll off, but it seems like it might only be if you have factory sub.
Rear speaker wires @ connectors in what looks like rear of console and both sides, in B-pillars.
Not sure where I am going to tie in yet.

Thanks for the pics and links.
When you were researching did you ever try to scope out if the sub plug existed for the BO sub?

Nope, but is still an option to dig around at.
Not a ton of info on adding sub (vs replacing), since everything
from XLT premium and up already has sub.
EDIT:
If you go looking, let me know. Here is wiring and location
Have the truck and going to add the sub this weekend. Going to tie into the drive side rear speaker line in the pillar between front and rear seats.
I know there are diagrams here but looking to confirm what color wires I should be looking for the rear driver side speaker. Looks like the color changes based on cab configuration.
edit: I have a crew cab

That seems like the most logical solution... the rear speakers in the door are only fill, anyway. The nice thing about that is you can fade it back if you want more volume from the subs.
When I do the speaker upgrade in the 2025, I'll be using a line-level DSP unit to get the signal to the amps... it's about the easiest way without replacing the head unit.
Wanted to give this another bump since I'm doing the install tomorrow morning. Anyone help confirm what the rear drivers side speaker wire colors are on a 2026 crew cab?
