Steering box question

Is a steering box out of a 1957 F100 a direct fit in a 1955 F250? I’m guessing not, but thought I’d ask in case I was mistaken.

The 1957 steering column is shorter than the 1955 by a little under 2 inches. Also, the pattern of 3 bolts bolting the box to the frame is different. You will need to redrill at least one of the holes.
