Adding an OEM Puck prep kit. Need help with wiring.
I have a 2016 F-250 and I am adding a OEM puck system I pulled from a donor truck. Question is this. Does Ford sell a pig tail that will attach to the lower 7 pin plug and run up to the bed with a 7 pin plug for the 5th wheel or goose neck trailer?
Also I had to cut one of the bolts. Does anybody know the part numbers for the bolts that go through the frame located at the red dots? They are a torx head bolt and lock nut.
They sell that pigtail for newer trucks for sure. I am not sure if the plug in the bed was an option for 2016 or not, I honestly cannot remember. If so it would likely have been part of the fifth wheel prep kit. If they DON'T sell that pigtail, you can make your own, but it may require some splicing. Personally I would just run the cord over the tailgate and bungie it to the bumper, I did this with my last fifth wheel (the truck did not have a plug in the bed).
As for the bolts, someone else would have to weigh in with the part numbers, but I would consider looking for an appropriately sized bolt at a grade 8 rating. You can usually get them cheaper. Though OEM may be better if they need to be shouldered.
I added a inbed trailer plug as you describe to my 2015. I did not use a genuine "ford" but found the part on Amazon. I believe Curt made the part and it was an easy install!
Can't help with the bolt part numbers

I have only found the one for the newer trucks also. Gonna go aftermarket I guess.

Unfortunately I am being told by ford the hardware is only available in the kit and I am gonna have to go to a hardware store to bolts. Which sucks. I do have a bolt business close I am gonna go there and see what they got.

The Ford dealer should be able to tell you what bolts are included in said kit, what the thread size/length is, torque spec, etc. They should also be able to pull the Ford part number for those bolts and order them individually - if they had to remove a puck system from a truck for whatever reason, they wouldn't order a whole new puck system to put it back, they'd just order the bolts.
It sounds to me like your local Ford dealer's parts department either doesn't want to look that deep into it, or doesn't know how. I would suggest calling around to other dealers and asking.
The bolt and flag nut is available as I have purchased one recently.
Problem is I have no part number or receipt to remember where I purchased it.
Well it is good to know it’s possible at least.

I would have thought the same thing. I have reached out to another dealer. We will see if I can get better results. Thx.
I remember it took some time finding the correct bolt/nut part number myself, at home. scouring the internet.
The bolts are not listed correctly on the parts sights. I think I found the part number looking at a youtube video of an install.
When I looked it up, the description did not sound like the correct bolt, but I purchased it anyway and it arrived exactly as the one I needed, with the Torx head and flag nut.
