I'm just about ready to put this auction truck on the road. It has the 6.8. I know most people want a mean sounding truck so don't hate on me for being the opposite. But this exhaust sounds very "tinie" or "rattlly" and to me it sounds cheap. Not sure how to describe it.I just want something that sounds "smoother" I guess and maybe a lower rumble, not like a tin can. I feel like it drives smoother with a quieter muffler. Anyone here changed theirs out for this reason?
IIRC there was a youtube channel of a exhaust shop that chopped up a 6.8 exhaust system, the first try was still too quiet for the owner so there are two different attempts with sound for you to hear. I assume gola #1 was to make the truck quiet so there seems to be a few items that can be swapped out to get what you are after.
I've had Magnaflow mufflers on several trucks - I'm always extremely happy with the sound, the quietness, the rumble, and the WOT sound - maybe the one reason I miss driving a gasoline-fueled truck...
So how does that ford performance exhaust sound just cruising? I just bought a 26 with 7.3 and want something I can hear while cruising but not a loud drone. I want to hear it when I step on the pedal some. Right now it is too quiet unless really get on it. I have points I was looking to use to buy the ford exhaust.

When towing, when my 7.3 drops to 8th gear it is loud. Way to loud for my liking. I thought about adding a resonator. When I looked under the truck it is all cats and.mufflers. No room for anything else. That's on a SuperCab long bed.

If I had to buy an exhaust all over again I would get the Ford Performance one without a doubt. The craftsmanship is top notch and the tips look great. It does exactly what you are describing.
It is 100% bolt on but I would suggest having a shop weld it to the stock mid-pipe.
Stainless works "Legend" is what I have. It makes your system a true dual from the cats back. I love it - not too loud cruising, although you can hear it at 70 when towing a 7-10k trailer, and a nice rumble under 1/4-1/2 throttle. https://stainlessworks.net/2020-26-f...-7-3l-catback/
