I'm going to be taking my truck into a buddies shop to get an uncompensated injector test performed with IDS. I'm considering having him update the PCM while he's connected.
Truck is currently VXCF4H2 strategy which I believe is the original 2006 calibration that came with the truck. I've heard plusses and minuses of the later calibrations. I think they are the VXCF9 series?
One odd thing this truck does that I haven't heard of others doing. It will turn on the glowplugs for 30-seconds every restart, regardless of ECT. Otherwise seems to work fine. Not a ton of power, but it gets the job done.
Truck is 100% stock tune and I plan on leaving it that way.
FICM is also a non-inductive flash which I'm considering upgrading as the truck is still a bit cranky starting at 40F with 5W-40 but I've also got 1-injector that is questionable.
