Looks like there is a change in treatment ahead for me as immunotherapy is done since I seem to have tumor growth going on. Sounded like it's not a huge deal and the chemo is well tolerated but need to have another biopsy done to look at genetics so it can be targeted. Biopsy is next week sometime so here we are sitting and waiting once again. However, on the plus side, there will be no pumps involved so super happy about that.
On another note, while retiring early seems like a good thing, because I'm not 60, retirement monies earned and that I need to grow will have sit there for 4 years doing nothing. Not real happy about that. It's not a small sum of money either. I have my wealth advisors looking into it but I don't think there is much I can do without triggering a bunch of penalties and taxes.
Good times. Getting old and sick is not for the weak....
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Left for Roseburg this morning around 0630 and got back to Bravo at 1830. Had an OASR Directors meeting at Rsbg Rod and Gun. We lived right across the river before retirement.
As the wife says, we got outa there just in time. Our old place has been completely consumed by development. Could just make out the roof top on the way by there. Cattle ranch is non existant now. Just house after house….
Swung thru ‘our’ camp ground at Diamond Lake to check things out on the way back. It just opened for the season yesterday.
Hope the biopsy goes well Rich and they can get the tumor in the crosshairs.
Howdy all. Got up to 91 here today. Went down to Odell Lake to visit with Tiny Wonder this afternoon/evening. Good visit. Stopped at Manley's Tavern in Cresent Lake Junction for deep fried mushrooms, Broasted Chicken and a beer on the way home.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. We are now up to 60.1 degrees, and any hint of clouds has disappeared. Going to be a warm day.
Have to make a trip to Bi-Mart sometime today. They have the 5 gallon gas cans with the auto stop spouts on them in stock now. I have one but need 2 or 3 more.
For some reason this didn't post - It's up to 71.2 now!
Was out chasing squirrels out of the Rec/Storage building. They chewed a hole in a patch I had previously put up on the gable. Going to put a metal nailer plate under the new patch and fill the hole with anti-rodent foam and steal wool. Have live catch traps set out, but haven't caught any yet. They seem to avoid them. I chase 3 of them around in circles trying to get them out the doors on either end of the building, one left, the other two would turn around at the door and run back into the building. Got two more out the door the other day, Dogs got one the day before yesterday and I got one out the door the same day. Seems to be only one left, unless it went back out the way it came in. It did set a camera off downstairs yesterday, but no sign of it since then. Traps are still empty.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 44 this morning and when the sun cleared the trees, the temp started racing up the ladder. 63.1 under clear blue skies now. They are forecasting the high at 86 today.
