Happy foggy 34 deg morning y’all , sitting here thinking what thermol clothes should be worn today ,
how are you feeling Hank ?
where’s food connoisseur Rob?
If I can get this truck to pass smog I will try to set up a GTG, but it may be too far for you.

we’re planning a Shasta lake retreat this coming summer , I’ll bring my 300 hp jet skis and possibly a fishing boat , if y’all want to attend , I’m not sure if we’re renting a house boat or stay somewhere else , more details need to be addressed in the coming months ,
my wife & I chartered a boat out of Bandon OR, lots of ling cod and rock cod , we came home with 30pounds of cod fillets, next on the menu is Halibut not sure when that season starts yet but we will most likely go out couple more cod trips .

We've been having an inversion for the last week or so. Been getting up into the 70s almost every day (we are at 2400' elevation). We hit 78 degrees the other day. Quite remarkable for January.
I'm beginning to think Rob has abandoned us. Either that or he's on vacation. Hoping the latter.
Sounds like fun 04badford. Maybe we can set something up. Haven't had a gtg in a long time. BTW, how is "Bubbles"? Haven't seen her in years.
I had two scans done on the truck yesterday. One at O'Reilly and the other at Autozone. O'Reilly says I have a bad "D" coil pack/spark plug, and a bad low coolant temp sensor, and Autozone doesn't mention the coolant temp sensor but does say I have bad coils and/or spark plugs. I called the shop I took the truck to fix the gear selector cable and asked how much he would charge to replace all plugs and coils and he quoted me a price of $960! That is using Motorcraft plugs but generic coils. With Motorcraft coils it would be $1,200. That is ridiculous. He asked if the engine runs rough and I told him it does sometimes but then fixes itself and runs fine. He said that replacing all the coils and spark plugs wouldn't guarantee it would pass smog since the problem is intermittent. He quoted a price of $165 to do a diagnostic. I think that route first, and maybe he can find the problem without replacing everything. I mean the sparkplugs are only two tears old, and at most only have 2-3 thousand miles on them. I hardly ever drive it. Was supposed to take it in this morning, but I forgot about the acupuncture appointment this afternoon so I will call and see if I can drop it off tomorrow instead.
Happy 25 degree Saturday , Jim lil bubbles is doing fine , she’s a swim lifeguard at OSU ducks pool and works at another pool teaching swim , she’s moved up with us 4 years ago but living on her own close to the college
Might catch a break on the truck. Seems there is a broken connector to the coil on #4 cylinder. If that is the problem, it will save me a ton of money. Mechanic will check it tomorrow, he fixed it with silicone for now, but I will have him replace that connector if it doesn't require changing the whole harness. Then I'll tackle the cat problem.
