I will pick it up Tuesday and call around. It is expected to rain all weekend, and even Monday. So, Tuesday will be the earliest I can get it. They are not open on the weekend, so I can't get it today even though it is currently sunny. That in itself is interesting as it was predicted to rain all day as well.

Best of luck with the search.

Are you under Tornado Warning down there? We had one spotted about 20 miles SE of us this afternoon.

Wow Will, That looks like the real thing, I don't believe that happens very often down there does it? I have only seen photos, never saw one in person. I grew about 40 miles East of Mt Lassen, my wife does all too well what they look like, she grew up in Iowa.

Tim, according to the interwebs California gets about 8-10 tornadoes a year, unlike Kansas or Oklahoma with their frequency. I saw one that didn’t touch down in Anderson a few years ago. They also recorded one in Shelter Cove today. Looking at the picture, that one was out near Paynes Creek. The weather up here has been interesting, Sunday before Christmas we had a convergence zone that brought 6” of rain in an hour, but 1/4 mile to either side of the zone only got an inch. It flooded a lot and produced a fatality (self induced, drove around a road block).

Thankfully that twister was in a sparsely populated area. I haven’t heard of any damage at this time.

Zowie! That looks like the real deal.

We have seen one tornado. It was a funnel cloud I guess technically. Many years ago we were driving south on I5 south of Highway 152, and off to our left we watched a funnel cloud come snaking down from the clouds overhead. It came down, danced around, but never actually touched ground. It looked like a snake as it meandered around.

Not at all like it was when we lived in Illinois.

No tornado watches here, but we are currently in a flood watch from noon to 3:30pm.

Well, we got hammered with rain again today. This was why we closed the club.

Happy Monday Nor-Cal. Busy day for me. Pick up my truck, then a 11am doctor appointment (semi-annual blood test monitoring my cancer), then come back for caregiver, and then tonight our church is hosting other churches in the beginning of the 21 days of prayer and fasting, and I'll be on the security/parking patrol team. Weather is forecast to be cloudy with a 20% chance of rain this afternoon/evening.

Happy Tuesday Nor-Cal. Truck worked fine all day yesterday. Makes no sense to me. I'm guessing that the next time I drive it it will act up. Strange beast.

Good luck with your truck Jim , hopefully they fixed it for good 👍
I ended up buying the seat pad from ford dealership, only 144 bucks , I was going to attempt to change it out myself but my body don’t twist like a pretzel anymore, I found a upholstery shop recommended by our neighbor mechanic, I’ll have them do it for $120,

So tired of dealing with this truck. Now that I have full coverage insurance on it (a requirement from the loan company) maybe a tree will fall on it and total it out. However, the loan company would get paid first, and whatever is left, if any, would go to me. So, that is not a good idea, as I owe the loan company $7,600 and I seriously doubt the insurance would pay more than that. Oh well. Gues it is time to check out some of the other electric repair shops around here.

Interesting. I received a reply to my post in the marketplace forums regarding a wiring harness for my truck. The person said he knows someone with one and gave me his email address. I sent him an email asking about it. Later that day I get a PM from a mod telling me to be careful as he thinks it is a scam. Today, I get another response to my post from a different user saying the exact same thing, but with a different email to contact. The person only has one post. I can't check if the first responder had one post as it has been removed by the moderator (I'm guessing).

Jim

edit: After checking my two PM's from two different mods I am told the first responder was a scammer and to not open any emails from the address he gave me. He has been banned with only one post. So, I am going to guess the second one is also a scam since he only has one post.

Anyone ever go to an acupuncture appointment? The VA diagnosed me with arthritis a while back and gave me some choices. One being tai chi, and the other being acupuncture. I would have loved to try tai chi, but that is not possible, so I chose acupuncture. Had my first appointment yesterday. Wasn't bad. The problem area is my right knee and the doctor put in six needles of which only one felt like a slight pinch, like getting a shot. He then brought in a heat lamp and aimed it at the knee. Thirty or so minutes later he comes back and removes the needles. Again, only one of them hurt when removing it, but it was a slight pain. None of them hurt during the thirty minutes. Interesting concept. I have three more visits so I'll see how it goes.
