Covers the floor underfoot on drivers/middle/passenger's floor of the truck, beneath the carpet/jute. Mine is crumbling with age/due to wet carpet previous owner did not address. I would like to remove it all, then replace with whatever serves the purpose, I assume was noise deadening and heat shielding.

Metal beneath is fine.
Crazy, I’d assume it’s a portion of the carpet backing.
use some of that sticky noise and heat shielding and do the floor and inside the doors and cab wall etc, it’ll give you better noise behavior
It's asphalt floor deadening mat
Wonderful stuff when it gets old and cracked up like that
You can put Dynamat over it or just leave it
Awesome. Thank you. Yeah, looks nice till ya mess with it! I'll remove this and then Dynamat the area. Thanks again for your help.
I assume I can (or should) put some rust seal on the floor once it's bare and clean. KBS Coatings makes some rust seal...seems like a good preventative.
