i already covered the whole floor with dynamat. but as you may know its very thin. so i'd also like to cover the whole thing in jute padding, an extra heat shield, and then the extra plush grey carpet with black piping around the sides to match the seats. the materials are cheap, but it all adds up quick. am i fine with just jute padding?
its hard finding the avenue to go with this stuff but i found stockinteriors, they sent me a bunch of nice little samples. i added the dynamat piece myself so i can judge how thick everything will be. kinda overkill lol.
they also offer crappy molded carpet sets for $230 that have only jute padding under where your feet go. lmc and many others also have this similar crappy molded sets.
ordering it by the yard is and doing it myself is cheaper and better quality!
The dynamat provides heat shielding if I am not mistaken. I would just do a jute over that then the carpet. If you buy a molded carpet it will already be a done deal and it will fit in all the right places correctly...
I am going to lay down the dynamat in my truck then just have the juke paddling and molded carpet over top of that I might paint the floor with bed liner or a interior type under coating but like arctic said the more the less noise comes through
