headlight issues

I have a 1970 F250 with aftermarket LED headlights, and they are no longer working correctly. I have had them for close to 3 years and have never had a problem till now. They will flicker on and off or just stay off. If I hit my dash or a pothole hard enough, they come on for a second and then back off. The high beams work, but that is the only thing that is consistent. I just replaced the headlight switch, and they are still doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I think the headlights have failed. This is a common issue with LED headlights. So you use low beams mostly and that is why the high beams still work fine. It is just time to replace the headlights I am sorry to say.

I hoping its just the dimer switch, just because its a lot cheaper to replace. I try that and hopefully it fixes the problem

Did you run an aftermarket harness for the lights or just use the original?

when I put them in my 68 they came with a aftermarket heavier harness. That was over 20 years ago so I don’t remember much.

definitely sounds like a short or failing part.

what headlights did you go with?

The headlights I went with were just some random ones off of Amazon and no I dont remember them coming with a new harness, but for the moment I do believe it was a bad connection with the dimmer switch because i was messing with it amd they were kind of working so I waiting on a new one to arrive to see.
