I ordered the Hood Insulation Pad Insulator from FordParts and noticed that it doesn't come with the pushpin type things that holds it in place. They're $10 each and there's 10 of them!!! That's so bull***** of Ford.
It's crazy that the liner didn't come with fasteners. But those things can be found all over the internet at a much lower cost than what Ford wants. I keep an assortment on hand of both the push pin and "pine tree" types.
Yep, you should be able to find an aftermarket solution fairly easily. Dorman's Help line has lots of that kind of stuff; https://www.finddormanhelp.com/
I find that aftermarket parts usually come with instructions, fasteners, etc. but OEM stuff does not; if there is a separate part number, it's usually sold separately.
Look into buying the retainers in packs.
There is a per-piece price that may be just about the same as the package price.
You may need to check with the dealer to purchase that way, as most online purchases are set up only for one piece at a time sales.
