Brake Pedal Assembly - Booster Selection
1979 F-150 4x4 — front disc, rear drum. The truck is very much a Frankenstein, so I don’t expect the brake parts to be original.
Over the years I somehow misplaced the brake booster and master cylinder. I understand these are pedal-specific, so I want to be sure I order the correct ones.
The pedal stamping on mine is:
D3TA-AA
1 5 73
I’ve noticed other posts reference D3TA-2455-AA, but mine doesn’t include the “2455.” Is that normal? Should this be treated as D3TA-2455-AA, or am I missing a different part number?
I assume this pedal is from a 1973. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using this setup, or would it make more sense to swap to a later-year pedal/booster/master combination while I’m here? I’m not clear on the functional differences.
Ive also got a parts truck (350) with a brake assembly stamped as D3TA CA. It has a booster but not sure if the condition. Was told it ran and drove before they pulled engine, but you know how that goes.

Jacob at Battle Born Brakes can sort that out for you and also hook you up with the master and booster you need. Might as well go with the F-350 upgrade.
