Should be able to order the BAP grille and install that, will take care of the grille itself. Bumper would need to be stripped and repainted or replaced with aftermarket.
Not a fan of chrome, personally, so I ordered my '25 with the BAP, gave me the black grille, body colored bumpers, black mirror caps, spray in bedliner (not sure why this was bundled into that - but I'd have ordered it anyway), and black badging on the sides...except for the letters LARIAT...wish those were black too. Would have come with black 20" wheels but the Tremor package got me mostly black wheels and black running boards. Basically where it says Lariat is the ONLY chrome on the truck, and I like it that way.
I second the Blackstone! This has been one of my favorite camping accessories I have purchased... so much so that I also used it often when we weren't camping!
How??? This thing is so easy to use and to maintain... and it cooks everything from fried rice, to breakfast to steaks awesome!
It's a $600 grill that's built like a $200 grill. It's burners have been massively unreliable. I have one that worked one day this last year and one that works only about 70% of the time. The other two aren't 100% either. In the winter time, even on high mine doesn't get warm enough to cook anything even with three out of four burners working. Also, mine won't get hot enough to use with all four burners if I don't use the lid and close it. Of course, the manual tells you not to cook with it that way. It's the only way I've ever been able to get it to get hot enough to do anything.
One major contributor to this may be the fact that its super windy in my back yard almost all the time. But I can't help but feel as though I wouldn't have these issues with a conventional grill. I also miss the char I can get on steaks and other things. It seems like items like burgers and what not are always greasier than they are on conventional grills. Really the only things I like cooking on it are burgers and bacon, when mine gets hot enough to do so. I used to grill a lot. Sometimes more than once in a day and often 5 or 6 times a week (and more occasionally.) I used previous grills to cook a lot of my meals. I've worn out a lot of grills over the years. I've had some which were better than others. Between my burner problems and dealing with the surface of the Blackstone, I hate it. It's the worst grill I've ever owned. I absolutely would not buy another.
I know a lot of people love their Blackstone's including two friends of mine. But I can't stand it. I'm eyeing a Weber Genesis that has a Blackstone type top that's so much nicer. I may try that instead.
That's a bummer. I have the 22" with the lid, so smaller than yours. I think I paid about $170 about 6 or 7 years ago for it and it has been great. But it is definitely different from cooking on a grill with grates. There is no place for grease to drain away, so it sits with the food while cooking. I typically let it cook in the grease until close to time to take it off, then move the food to a different area that isn't as greasy, and then push all the grease into the drain. With my 22' BS and the lid, the whole cooking surface heats up. Sure, the very corners can be a little cooler than the center but not by much. It's still completely useable and I also use the slight temp differences to my advantage when cooking. I understand what you mean about the charcoal char though... that is something I do miss... but I have gotten so used to cooking on the BS and it does such a good job, I am ok without the char. Saying that, I do get a great char on my steaks when cooking them though!
I will say that the regulator that comes with them that connects directly to a propane tank are junk... they all are. I actually have mine plugged into my campers QD so I don't have to use it and it works great. Other than that though, I would quickly replace mine with another if necessary!
