It’s an early 99. CCLB 4x4. Not sure on mileage. I’m thinking it’s over 200k.

Low fuel pressure
Hey fellas, working on a friends truck and we have a a crank but no start situation going on.
The fuel pressure is right around 15psi. Testing using a nice gauge and the port on the fuel drain valve. Batteries are topped off and healthy.
I can ‘feel’ the pump kick on with the key. Fuses look good. We also pushed the fuel pump reset switch (it was not tripped).
The truck died in driveway, Tank below 1/4 so we added 10 gallons. I don’t think it has the Hutch mod…
Trying to not overthink things. Ideas before we throw a fuel pump at it? Thanks for any help,

You can prove the tank works by puling fuel form a bucket or fuel can through the pump and remains system.
Sometimes the lines get clogged from the tank to pump... take the fuel cap off and gently back blow the filter system in the tank.
Sometimes the pumps themselves get clogged and fail. More often, the regulator goes bad... CNC Fab and Riffraff Diesel have good upgraded regulators and internals.
Never get anywhere near 1/4 tank of fuel unless you have done the Hutch/Harpoon Mod's.
Keep the batteries maxed out on charge while troubleshooting or you may get to the no start because of voltage drop.
Minimum fuel pressure needs to be right at 50 psi... preferably closer to 60-65 psi just sitting.

Also check to see if the FPR is working like it should. They sometimes get jammed up off the seat.
