I have a quick question or two about the instrument cluster bezel for the 1992-97 trucks. Mine is a 1992 and I noticed the other day that after I reinstalled my instrument bezel after doing some work that I had cracked it pretty good. That said I ultimately need a new one, so my question is with mine being a diesel and needing a replacement cluster, if I can find a clean one on ebay or in the junkyard, do I have to have another diesel one with the wait to start panel or can a gas one be modified? Or I see that LMC has new ones but they're for the 1994-97 powerstrokes, will those fit the 1992-94 idi dash? Thanks in advance!

Gas clusters are year specific, e.g. 92-93, 94-95 and I’m pretty sure diesels are too including IDI vs turbo. Others will chime in.
To save you some aggravation on the bezel, the replacements on Amazon are vacuum formed, not injection molded like the originals. They don’t have all the holes and don’t fit as well, particularly along the top so don’t wate your time. I ended up returning two different brands and fixing mine with epoxy. Hold out for this crowd to point you in a better direction.

I didn't mean to imply that I need another cluster (sorry I just reread that) my cluster is in decent shape; I'm just trying to see if anyone has anything to say if a bezel from a gas or a powerstroke can be made to work with the IDI. It seems most of the time I find a bezel in the junkyard, they're in about 3 pieces, so eBay might be the best bet. That said, I need to know if an OEM, non IDI bezel can be made to work mine, I was hoping that maybe the ones from LMC for the 94-97 powerstrokes might work of course OEM is always the best.
I had to buy one as mine was cracked pretty bad. After some searching I found one on Amazon that worked well and I had no problems with. It looks good and the finish is about 95% of a stock unit. The IDIs are really similar to the powerstroke dash but I am not 100% on what has to be done for them to interchange.
I found a post on a Facebook group about the LMC and Amazon bezels. The reviews were mixed and both of them lacked the molded push tabs on the back. I'm leaning toward JB Welding or maybe using short strand Kitty Hair if I think I can make it fit behind there neatly. I'm hoping just to find a decent OEM replacement though. I might have to wait for a bit to make that happen though, my 10R80 in my F150 took a dump today so I'm holding off on doing anything to disable my '92 even for a day.
